Olympic Triathlon Plans

Olympic Triathlons are the great all-around distance to train for.  They consist of a 1500 meter or 1 mile swim, a 25 mile bike and a 10k or 6.2 mile run.   You can successfully train for your first olympic distance triathlon in 4-12 weeks depending on your current fitness.   This is the featured distance for the summer olympic games triathlon, as well as age group and collegiate national championships.

If you love to stay active, it’s an ideal distance to train for and master.   Here you can choose from several different olympic training plans below.

Intermediate Olympic Training Plan

 This is a 12 Week Intermediate Olympic Triathlon training plan.   This plan is for the triathlete who has 1-2 years of experience, and wants to incorporate threshold training in their preparation for racing.   This plan has an average of 8-10 hours per week to train.

Advanced Olympic Training Plan

This is a 12 Week Advanced olympic distance triathlon training plan.  This plan is for the triathlete who has 1-2 years of experience and wants to utilize threshold and VO2 Max interval work in their training preparation.  This plan has an average of 8-10 hours per week to train.
