Sprint Triathlon Plans
Sprint Triathlons are the perfect distance for novice triathletes. The distances are relatively short consisting of a 750m swim, a 12 mile bike and a 3.1 mile run. You can successfully train for your first sprint triathlon in 4-12 weeks depending on your current fitness. But don’t be fooled that this distance is only for beginner triathletes. National championships for collegiate and age group triathletes compete in this distances. It’s also the race distance for Paralympic Triathletes every Summer Olympic Games!
It’s the ideal triathlon distance for all stages of your triathlon career from first time to your most competitive desires. Here you can choose from several different sprint training plans below.
Intermediate Sprint Training Plan
This is a 12 Week Intermediate Sprint Triathlon training plan. This plan is for the triathlete who has 1-2 years of experience, and wants to incorporate threshold training in their preparation for racing. This plan has an average of 6-8 hours per week to train.

Advanced Sprint Training Plan
This is a 12 Week Advanced sprint triathlon training plan. This plan is for the triathlete who has 1-2 years of experience and wants to utilize threshold and VO2 Max interval work in their training preparation. This plan has an average of 6-8 hours per week to train.
